The scalping thing is only going to get worse and worse.

Did anyone else hear about this?

Madonna herself recently made a deal with StubHub making them the "official" scalper of her tickets in exchange for a percentage of the revenue! She is the first artist to do such a thing and, sadly, probably won't be the last...

Almost all the MLB Teams (Yankees included), and most NFL teams have official deals with Stub Hub as well. There's even a Stub Hub only ticket window at Yankee Stadium now.

Yeah I know that, and I think that's bad too, but for some reason I think it's worse for concerts than sports. Maybe because a music tour usually only comes to a particular city once, maybe twice, so if you miss out on tickets to that show you're screwed. Whereas with a Yankee game for example, if you can't get tickets to the game you want, there will still be a few others that week and dozens more throughout the season to choose from.

I don't like either, but I agree with that.
