Oh, that brings back great memories of the concerts WNEW-FM radio would sponsor in Asbury Park! The day would start with the opening acts playing at the Stone Pony while the beach stage was being set up. After years of sitting in my office listening to the broadcast and seething with jealousy, I took a Friday off and went to one!

Part of me is like, "HELL YEAH!" but then the other part looks at the pic of the Jimmy Buffet concert and thinks, "HELL NO!"

I'm the same way, Becky. I'm not ruling it out, but I'm not committing to it just yet either. This is definitely one of those "I'd love to be there, but I'm not sure I'm willing to do what it would take to get there" shows! At least it would be October instead of July like it was for Buffet. Ugh. I can't even imagine what that was like.

I so totally understand the HELL YES mixed with the HELL NO .. To help the tourism and the popularity to come back cannot be a bad thing ... but I think it's tough to get tickets probably ...thse free event WITH tickets are a nightmare to get

I'm thinking about going, but it will probably depend more on what my friend(s) want to do. It's Bon Jovi... it's free... but it's going to be a nightmare to be in that general admission crowd. If we both go, Terri, you should definitely hang out with me and my friends!

Who the fuck is Brad Paisley?

Brad Paisley is a very popular country artist. He's a vocalist and guitarist. He has a string of hits a mile long. I think every song he releases becomes a Top 10 hit.

Ah right, no market for country in the UK. I like old stuff but I'm not up to date with the mainstream country people love in the states.

I've seen him in concert and he's good. If he were playing on Saturday instead of Sunday, I'd go see him too. I think we've pretty much decided we're going to the Jovi show if we can get tickets.
