Nope. The official hurricane season is from June 1 to November 30, and for the Gulf, August through October is the peak time.

It's a concern for anyone that has to pay for a plane ticket. It's not a big deal for me since I'll be driving if I go. (And I am still in IF mode.) If the weather's bad, I can just stay home, and I wouldn't lose any money.

BTW, the Jimmy Buffet concert was delayed due to a storm in the Gulf. It was originally scheduled for July 1, and Kenny Chesney (another VERY popular country artist) was also supposed to play. Evidently Chesney couldn't make it for the July 11 date.

Nope - still not sure. I've tentatively taken the day off, and I have a room reservation that can be canceled. I'd like to see some more details before I decide for sure.

Not sure yet. The hotel rooms that you get the tickets with can't be booked until the 8th (unless you know something I don't know) so we'll have to see if we can get a room, thus tickets, first. I'm not super-excited about the idea of the GA show though, so if we don't get tickets I won't be heartbroken.

If you go online or call one of the realtors they are booking you with show tickets now. i booked a condo because they had a few smaller ones, and I got a great deal pricewise. Hopefully no hurricane will be around and I can fly to Pensacola and drive over . The most expensive thingabout this trip is the flight to and from.
