I think the crowd in Germany is/was just like most crowds around the world. It is just that crowds in Holland are extremely loud and jumping and stuff.

Yes, I nearly fell asleep since we got 4 slow songs in a row. It was just that the first 11 songs were played so damn cool and the last 4 right before the first encore too that I rate it that high.

Wanted was sang much louder in Amsterdam then Gelsenkirchen. I do not know where you were standing but I was standing 15 meters from the stage and we were about the only ones who were singing along. When I was in Amsterdam I was about 30 meters from the stage and everybody was still singing along.

Might be. It was my first concert outside Holland so I can't compare.

Salaam Aleikum,

Well the crowd in Holland is indeed VERY loud and we like it!
Crowds from southern are even better I must say, it's even obvious on video, these people are just crazy, I wish I could see a BJ show from one of those crowds.

Hi everyone!

This is going to be my first post on the new board. I've been a regular visitor of the old Dry County board and although I registered the first day this new board went online, I haven't been posting one thing, actually not knowing why.
But being to the show last friday, I decided to look in here and see what's written about that gig. And I felt I had to drop my lines.
Hopefully, some of you will remember me, as I do remember Sebastiaan, Becky, Johannes and lots more...

What I want to say:
The bad sound of LIVE is not due to the closed stadium roof (as posted in another thread). It was just overpeaked. It's as simple as that. Seemed to me they had a deaf guy at their FOH.
Maybe that's the reason why the "German crowd" did not enjoy it that much!
The German crowd - that's the next point. I mean I haven't been to a Dutch show and I don't know what you are doing there, but please, a little more respect! I was 30 metres from the stage and I did know the words of Wanted as I did know the words of all the other songs! What about the crowd? For example: If I had not known that Bounce will be the first song, I would not have checked it cos of the crowd being so loud. And sure there are people who don't know all the verses, who are even not real fans. But what the heck? That's ok. They wanted to see a good rock show and they got to see a good rock show! Every time I looked around I saw everybody standing and clapping and dancing up to the highest seats in the venue. So what about the crowd? It was great!
It's true that not many noticed Jon was ill, but I did and I had to think of what I read about the Italy show two years ago. But fortunately, Jon got over it somehow and was almost "normal" from BTBMB till the end.

After all not the best one but still a great show!
Thx a lot!

I have seen many shows in Germany and can vouch for the fact that the German crowds do rock!!! The Dutch crowds rock too of course but they are just a bit more crazy with it! lol no offence!

Several slow songs in a row is the way they handled Jon's illness at the Jones Beach '95 show. It gave him time to get his bearings.
