It certainly does`nt my friend but the news broke on the 1st of the month hence the tongue in cheek suggestion it was an April Fool.

YIPPIEH!!! I'm so happy to read this!

She was my first favourite singer when I was a kid. We listenend to her music everytime we went to vacation in Italy. I guess it's time to relearn some songs...I could sing every song when I was younger.
She has some really great rock songs, and she just ROCKS live!!!

I have been to two concerts, the first one in 1995 in Frankfurt, which was my first ever concert, the second one in 2003 in Konstanz at the Zeltfestival. Both concerts were really great, and really rocked!!!

I wanted to go to a concert she gave last year near Stuttgart, but I hadn't the time to unfortunately.

It's NOT true that she hasn't been onstage for 15 years, she was on tour multiple times, in Germany too! And she has made new albums, although I must say that my parents brought me the last one home from vacation in Italy last year, because I wasn't able to get it here. (and it was cheaper there then buying it as import from Amazon)

I suggest you first listen to the music and do your research better, and then judge. Go to youtube, there are plenty videos to see, from recent concerts last week in Italy too. I suggest "America", "Bello e impossibile", "Profumo", "I maschi" etc.

She is about the same age the guys from Bon Jovi are, 3 years older then Richie is.

I don't know why they choose her, I admit it's difficult if you don't understand the songs, but my dad doesn't understand them too, but still likes them very much. She has a raspy and powerful voice much like Janis Joplin.

But obviously Jon and the guys won't understand the songs too, but they obviously still like them, or they won't have her as support.

I'm looking forward to May, 24 even more now. *going to search some cds and fresh up some songs*

She wasn't on stage in Germany, maybe.
But she was touring in Italy in the 90s, and in the last years a lot.
