I think it looks like it was an awesome show and Jungleland should go away.

Any other questions I'll be in the office.

I have to agree with Saint Sinner, I was not at last night's show but I was there on Wednesday and Thursday night. Both shows were amazing. IMO Jon put 110% into both shows.

Even hubby who wasn't much of a fan, thinks they put on great performances.

On both nights the crowd was really into it, I really think the majority went home happy.

eta: i've heard some of those you tube videos, and you really cannot judge by listening to them. Just my opinion of course

When I'm sitting in my room and I see a praying mantis outside of my window... that's rare.

When I'm driving down the road and I see a sweet ass Dodge Viper... that's rare.

When my dad used to fish and he actually did catch something... that's rare.

By definition folks, something rare is something you don't see that often. Some of you guys are confusing rare with a pair of words like "never played."

Dry County is a rarity. Out of all of the concerts they've played since 2000, it hasn't been played at 10% of the shows. That's rare.

Living In Sin pops up on most tours... 2 or 3 times. That's rare.

Just Older has been played twice in what? Around 40 shows (don't feel like looking). That's rare.

When they started the tour, they played songs they NEVER play, like Tokyo Road, Roulette, Only Lonely, etc. Okay... they ARE rare, but they don't define rarity. The band saw the reactions from the stage and there must be a reason they aren't playing them. If they went over better than We Got It Going On, I'm sure they'd love to get the folks into the show, but they didn't. Face it. They tried... maybe not hard enough, but we can't say they haven't played anything from 7800 this tour. For the first time in years, they have.

They did play rarities at Giants. As someone posted, the fact that they are mixing it up more than they've ever done makes these things not seem so rare. But some of you aren't happy with the songs they are playing... oh well... that's how it goes. They are still mixing it up more than any other tour ever, more than 99% of the bands on this planet and people hate on them because they don't particularly care for some of the tunes.

You guys realize that if they played rarities all the time and at every show, then they wouldn't be rarities anymore.

in his first line seb said it was the best DC since 1995...was night 3 the best....EVER?
No. Just better than the first night. It's not that hard to understand really.

I don't get why people get upset over Something For The Pain being played live every show now. It's a song that wasn't even played at every show in 1995, and was only a staple in the set on the very short 1996 tour.

Now they've finally made a rare song a staple and it's wrong because it's supposed to be a rare song? What the **** is that all about?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I agree, it strikes me as ridiculous that people crapped their pants when SFTP reappeared and now people are getting annopyed that it's a staple! I never thought I'd hear SFTP live and now I've got that chance I'm extremely excited about hearing it.

It's not just about playing rare songs for the hell of it. It's about playing some ****ing good songs that casual fans probably wouldn't know but that people like us can fully appreciate.

Like **** are they. This is the *bare ****ing minimum* you should expect Bon Jovi to be exploring their back catalogue at *any* show.

Really glad to hear the shows were great!

I'd Die 4 U is a rare song! In 2000, they played it a handful of times in a piano version, I don't know how many, I remember 2 times. Could be more, not much though. Usually they did "Runaway 2000".

It wasn't played on the 2001 and 2003 tours. Correct me if I'm wrong, IF it was played, then probably just once or twice or around that.

It did show up a few times on the HAND tour, which was great! I was lucky to get it at the 2 shows I attended - still, it was some kind of rarity, since it wasn't played regularly and just showed up here and there. But I was happy they did play it a bit more often.

How many times have they played it on the LH tour? I need to check back. Not that much though.

And now one time on the new tour?

So, what is a rarity then? Here in Europe they play "These Days" from time to time. I think at every show I went to since 2000, they played sth from "These Days", the title track, "Something To Believe In", "Hey God" or "Diamond Ring". All of them are rarities in some way, one more than the other. Just because I heard them doesn't mean other people will.

Like with "Living In Sin" and "Dry County" - just because they are on the DVD it means they are no rarities anymore? Come on! They are rarities released on a DVD. I would be happy if all of those songs mentioned would be played regularly, so we don't need to call them rarities anymore.
