As someone who's seen Jovi play at both Giants and Wembley, I'd vote Wembley every time! Don't get me wrong, seeing Jovi play Giants was great - the stadium is their home turf etc etc and I am hoping to go back this year, but in my opinion they still play their best shows in Europe and Wembley will be THE weekend of the tour.

Well I didn't really like the old Wembley when I went to see Chelsea play in the League Cup final against Aston Villa. When you are high enough the view is rubbish and inside the stadium is pretty average in terms of layout and food stands etc. Out of the New Wembley and The Giants though it has to be New Wembley it'll look damn fine when its done, although I will hopefully one day see them at The Giants Stadium too.

For me its not a question of the actual stadium, but more of the crowds and how the band plays to them.

Id take a european show, especially Wembley or Dublin over Giants anyday. Dont get me wrong id still love to see them there, but i know what american crowds can be like in general and i know i wouldnt enjoy myself as much.

It would be down to a number of factors i guess, starting with the fact that many American fans tend to be more 'casual' ones and so setlists can often reflect this, and many shows are also seated and there are alot of people drinking, walking up aisles etc etc. I know that most people dont actually sit, but the chairs do space you out and it just looses the rock gig feel i think. Id love an open-air standing stadium gig anyday. (this applies to here in the UK too, i dont like arena shows) but thats besdies the point as Giants isnt an arena.

And, im trying not to generalise here, but i feel that there would be other aspects of an american audience that would irritate me. Just looking at the crowd in the TLFR DVD embarrasses me for instance...

But im talking to much here, Wembley over Giants stadium for me please.

I couldn't agree more. I also saw them at both venues and still think Hyde Park and, in general, the London (and/or Dublin) shows in the past were always especial.

Wembley for me too, even though I've seen the band in neither venue yet.

I know it doesnt help that Giants is all seated but Wembley is a much more prestigious arena famous for some of the best concerts of all time, ie Live aid, Queen and Queen tribute etc
excatly what i was gonna say seen em at giants 2001 and loved both nights but in all honesty out of every single gig ive seen em they werent the best.
i wanna go again this year and hopefully i will but the crowd were just not the same as in england. what really annoyed me the most in 2001 when richie sang stranger half the stadium sat down!
if i had to choose it would be wembley everytime.

Wembley for sure. If I could choose between a show in the USA and Europe I'd always go for Europe. I like the concerts in Europe more, the audience is way better.
