Default glasgow trains

just clocked that ticketmaster says the nearest train station to hampden is mount florida, it's not, kings park is.

if you're coming out from central station it's a stop further away but it's a 2 minute walk to the stadium, mount florida is a few miles away though there are more pubs n stuff there.

just incase anyone is travelling up and doesn't really know the city.

Think I'm going to go to Kings Park and then walk from there...as you say..you can see it from the station so should only take 2 mins max.

2 minutes to the stadium give or take a beer or six in the beechwood

one of my mates had a bird that lived in kings park right behind hampden with a massive garden and we could used to sit out her garden in the sun and have a drink listening to the support before the main act came on.

those were good times

That sounds cool.

Do you think that they'll have extra trains running afterwards (i.e after the usual last train at 11.00 pm) seeing as the concert's on?

Thanks for the info man!

I've only visited Glasgow one time before, and this will be my first concert at Hampden. This saved me some research...

Thanks again!

Is it not better to get the No.5 bus from the City Center/St Enoch, it goes right by the stadium?

Mount florida isnt too far if you do get off the train there...about ten minute walk.
Kings park is closer though!
