Default Golden circle seats question

Hi guys,

I'm the kind of person who loves to stand at gigs, not much of seats fan. However, I'm considering purchasing a golden circle ticket for this year's Lisbon gig. is it worth it ? I mean, it's considerably closer to the stage and there's the slight chance you might give JBJ a high-5, though I'm pretty sure that's something the ladies would appreciate more than I do. I'd be happy to bitch-slap him for being a lazy arse, instead
I know they give you all sorts of goodies as well. I also know it's not as amazing as the diamond circle experience probably is.
Any thoughts ? Is it worth the extra 40 euros ? (standing is 59€, Golden circle's 99€)

There's not a single show in Europe that's actually selling well right now, which is a first for Bon Jovi as the usual big markets like Dublin, London and Munich sell really well.

I have indeed noticed a lot of publicity (TV and radio ads, etc) here in Portugal. I'm wondering how well/badly the show is selling 'round here.. they're not seeing the big picture. there's a 10% unemployment rate in this country, minimum and avarage wages are a laugh and the economic crisis is hitting us like a rock.
'cheapest' ticket is 59 euros, as I said. minimum wage is roughly 450 euros so you get the idea. if they're a 'people' band like they say they are, they need to go over this matters in Europe. Last year when the tour was announced, it was said that UK gigs would be selling really cheap tickets (10£ if I'm not mistaken) 'because of the economical situation' - in the UK!!!! what a laugh !
In 2011, there was an attendance of 56.000 people. I wouldn't be surprised if those numbers were halved this time.

The gold circle is a far better option than GA but on the last tour there was only £10 difference between tickets so the choice was easy. You can walk into the venue a few minutes before the band comes on and you have a fairly decent spot secured. I just find the whole vibe a lot more relaxing.

The atmosphere has gone down a lot though. The past few tours more and more people buy a GC ticket just to get close to the band but plenty of people in there have no idea what album Dry County is from. I remember Dry County getting played in Dusseldorf for the first time in 10 years and the whole GoldCircle was excited. We got Hey God in 2011 and apart from a few people nobody cared. Many die hards just can't afford the expensive GC tickets anymore which is a real shame.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Yeah I definitely got a very laid back vibe in GC, maybe a bit too laid back. But after spending night one in GA which was full of screeching drunk idiots I was kind of glad of the peace and it was 2/3 full so there was plenty of space

Yeah, and it is so frustrating as I'm usually crammed into the first couple of rows of GA up against the barrier, watching the half empty GC/DC and its goons strolling about with their fancy drinks and knitting sets. Totally zapps the energy.

Saying that, as uncomfortable as it can become (and I'm getting old too), there's something about being crammed into a tight GA crowd at a rock and roll show and singing away the night which beats a corporate package experience every day of the week.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

the following tickets are unsold at the moment for Lisbon

DC VIP : 184

GC Fast-track : 243

GC : 3514

GA : 31033

By contrast Iron Maiden are doing the indoor arena and tickets were 33,39,40 euro and there's just over 100 left
