It is certainly true that Jon really showed a ton of appreciation to Daughtry as an opening act. He even said that Chris Daughtry would not be an opening act in the future. The very fact that Chris repeatedly shared the stage with Bon Jovi during "Blaze" says that they hold him in high regard.
With that said, any band who has their first album out would soon run out of material if they tried to play for too much longer than an hour. Daughtry does a great show, though. I saw them in Charlotte NC in December as a headliner. However, they did have a short set even as the headliner. They also had two opening acts.
It is a bit hard to understand why they would expect equal time when Bon Jovi has enough music to fill 2 hours, having played almost entirely hits and songs from the new CD, and still have us here "wishing they'd played Dry County" or "wishing they'd played Hey God" or "wishing they'd played "Blood on Blood."
Daughtry is great! Bon Jovi has really done them a huge favor by getting them more exposure. By the way, the move is smart for Jovi as well. Keeping a newer band who is doing well as their opener, they continue to get more new listeners and therefore more new fans.

I agree. But the main thing is, this is a Bon Jovi Tour. Daughtry is just an opening act. And the others are right, these fans should learn the definition of opening/support act.
They're so funny.
