Thumbs down Hampden Gig 3/6/06

Are there no fans left in Scotland wanting to go to this!! Everybody is trying to get GC tickets for England, we got Scotland ones on Wed, mind you after everything being said, I am getting this confirmed today. If you can't get GC tickets why not get them for Glasgow!!

got mine.

few points of interest for anyone whos coming who doesn't know glasgow or the area around the stadium.

The trains run on kinda dodgy times and Kings park station is not really out the way but it's easy to get lost in the streets going back because they all look the same. It's pretty easy to miss the last train if you come out late and aren't totally sure of where to get the station.

There's only one pub remotely close to the stadium, the next is a good 15 minute walk away.

taxi's are nigh on impossible to get after the gig and even if you do manage one, you're going to be moving very slowly in queues for ages. i walked home from the u2 gig at hampden and made better time than the taxis.

walking to the city centre after the gig is definetely not the most intelligent thing to do if you're planning on going out or have a hotel there.

Hmm how do we get these gold tickets?.

Is it to do with that flyer thing in hand because i chucked that in the bin.

Is there a number we need to call or a site to visit.....

I would goto the glasgow one.

There is a website for it, it is an insert in the cd. You have to try different search engines though as it is quite difficult to get to!!

I'm annoyed because I tried to purchse and there was no shipping available outside the uk...I'm not sure if it was a presale restriction or what. I'm a Glasgow native and I want to see them in Hampden - I'm ready to plan my summer holiday on it and I can't get a bloody ticket.

If anyone on the board is planning on buying an extra gold circle seat please let me know - it would be pure-dead-brilliant.

I will be in Glasgow for the show, and I look forwrad to seeing many fellow diehards from the board there.

Cheers all. See you in Hampden.

Thanks for the info but you might have just put me off!! I've never been to Glasgow before - is the stadium far out of the city? I wanted to get back to Newcastle on the night after the gig, but dunno if this is feasible...might have to reassess which show to go to.

Fellow Jovihollics come see Bon Jovi in Glagow. Us Glasgow people know how to enjoy ourselves!!

I've got my tickets and can't wait. Saw the boys at Ibrox 2003 and it was one of the greatest days of my life. From queueing up for 4 hours before the doors even opened belting out the tunes with hundreds of other fans of all gender and ages all united by a band to the amazing finale of Bad medicine and Shout.

They really know how to rock and we are the greatest fans and create the best atmosphere and the loudest. You will not be disappointed at Hampden!!

Roll on Hampden!! It's gonna be a good (or should that be nice) day!!

it's further than i'd want to walk to the city centre anyways. it's just now and again the trains are kinda dodgy but if you catch them it's fine.

I dunno how feasable getting the newcastle that night will be cos the earliest you'll get into the city centre via train is half 11 and that's being pretty optimistic.
