You HAVE been whining about having to travel and my point is that you do not face any more traveling "hardship" than many of their other fans.

Really, you contradict yourself and when people point that out to you, you tell us we can't read or that you don't care anymore. Maybe you're not expressing yourself well enough to be understood because we're all getting the same message.

You said in the first post that you started this because Bon Jovi doesn't visit Scandinavia anymore. Still, you're complaining about shit you don't seem to understand. It's not cheap to tour and no one wants to pay to play.

If the band wants, lets say 100000€ for a gig, the promoter needs to get that 100000€ plus some profit in order to arrange the gig. The arena to seat 8000 costs 50000€ to rent. Each ticket is about 40€, that's 320000€, minus tax (which in Finland is about 8% I think), that leaves 294400€.

Take out the arena rental, 50000€, you're at 244400€.

Then deduct the salaries of all the people involved. Let's say there's about 10 people working a month to get the band here. Each gets about 2500€ salary, so the company pays them about 5000€ a month (including all the social security costs etc.). That's another 50000€ gone. We're at 194400€.

Then deduct the pay of the about hundred people working on the stage (let's say about 30000€, 300€/night), security (about 5000€), the costs of hotel rooms (band and the crew, 50 something rooms? about 25000€), transportation (a couple of thousand euros), advertisement (30000€)...

You're left with about 90000€ of which you have to pay the band 100000€.
You are left with -10 000€. Good business ain't it.

I'm not saying those are the real numbers, but it should give you some clue. And the band probably wants a lot more than a 100 000 €, but this was just an example. Not cheap. Not easy.
