It was me who told Mike to jump over the fence - the gates were closed (I thought, but they weren't in the end). The funny thing is that the next day I realised that we were right next to Speaker's corner and Marble Arch... I had no idea of that at night

fortunately i wasn't by myself for too long at any time so i always had someone who 'did' know their way around...

god knows what would have happened if me and mike were trying to find it together

Heh, I second that... I would never survive London without my trusty AZ Visitor's London Atlas and Guide. I'm on my second copy now, the Millennium Edition, and the next time I'm in London I might think about getting a new and updated one again.
