Planned to but after spending an hour staring at TM this morning decided against it - prices are just too high for the seats. Will be interesting to see how these sell in the general sale.

I've decided I'll probably go to just the Friday show, and by going to only one I can justify a mid-price ticket, either the £65 or £75 one. The only problem is, there don't seem to be any tickets left on the presale, so I'm gonna have to wait for the general sale!

Well shit - I haven't bought one either. The air-fare is a killer on top of those ticket prices

I haven't bought one either. As has been reiterated by others, the prices and set-up are disgusting.

I may reconsider for one show if I come into some money soon.

As soon as I heard about the prices I didn't even had to think about it! No way I'm paying this. I could but I simply don't want to pay that much for a concert. And I don't care travelling abroad for a concert and not having a good seat, so buying a 'cheap' one isn't an option either.
I'm so pissed off I don't care that much about the album-release anymore either.

They need to make up, big time!!

So tomorrow is the next pre sale. Do you only have to be a member to ticketmaster if you wanna use the pre sale tomorrow ?

I would appreciate answers, cause I plan to buy tickets for the 7th and 8th

It's now 4 days since the O2 disappointment, and I'm still so angry about this!

I didn't buy tickets to see Bon Jovi at the O2 when they went on pre-sale on Saturday because the prices are extortionate. I have just graduated uni after six years of studying. Although I am fortunate enough to be employed, especially in these tough times, and receive a decent wage at the age of 24, I have over £28,000 of debt to pay off. I will also be looking to buy a house etc in the next few years and need to start thinking about saving for a mortgage. So I just could not justify paying £200 to see a band that I've never paid anywhere near that amount to see live in the past.

I think the thing that makes this situation such a bitter pill to swallow is the hypocrisy. In a way, if these dates had gone on-sale and The Circle had not been conceived, I think yes, we would all have moaned about the prices and refused to pay them, but we would all possibly have thought maybe Jon just doesn't realise how difficult times are for the ordinary man at present, and that maybe he has become too sheltered and out-of-touch with the Tommy and Gina's of this world given his millions in the bank. However, that is clearly not the case, given the fact that the man has been promoting the songs on the album as being borne out of the current global economic crisis and how tough things are for the ordinary man at the moment! I actually can't believe that he has the gall to agree to the O2 ticket prices in this context! And he undoubtedly has condoned those ticket prices - they may not have been his idea, but I don't think any of us on here are naive enough to think that Jon doesn't have complete control and final say-so over everything concerning his band - Matt is a fool if he thinks he can try and convince us othewise.

Could I have afforded to go the the O2? Ultimately yes. But I could not justify it. If enough people pay these prices this time and sell the venue out, it will mean that the band think they can get away with charging that much every time they play, and I personally do not want to play a part in making Bon Jovi an elitist brand, I have too much respect for those die-hards who would suffer if this happens. And ultimately the reason I love this band is that I identify with their lyrics and what they have to say. And from what I've heard off this new album, the themes of the songs are about realising that our materialistic and capitalistic ways are not sustainable, hence the recession, and that we need to go back to the way things were in a simpler time, where respect for one's fellow man, having morals and standards and standing up for what you believe in and refusing to follow the crowd mattered more than how much money one had. I believe in these themes, and for this reason I could not justify buying tickets for the O2. Unlike Jon, I refuse to be a hypocrite, and know that when I sing along to those songs this time next week following the albums release, I can do so with a clear conscience. I wonder whether Jon will be able to when he performs them at the O2.

Thought about travelling up there for the first time but that's just a joke... Ok they have their price but that's over the limit, even for a big fan.

Are they selling well anyway? Would be ironic
