1. I haven't heard a single bad thing about Bruce's show, so I think bombed is a way overstatement.
2. Get yourself some new friends kidding

Watch any videos from the Glastonbury performance and you'll see the crowd getting into it.

Also the organiser said he never saw a bigger crowd at Glastonbury ever.

Default bruce

Only reporting what a) people I know who went said and b) reaction from media like NME.

Anyway - one thing we can all agree on is that Bon Jovi would suck at Glastonbury, and it wouldn't be the bands fault, it would be the pre-conceptions of the crowd.

Springsteen absolutely bombed this year. Number of my 'non rock / metal' friends went and left 30 minutes in. Part of that was his own fault because he didn't change his set list to reflect a non loyal crowd but part was a miscalculation on Eavis' side that Springsteen just isn't what the Glastonbury crowd want to hear.

man, that is a load of bollocks, I was there and almost everone I spoke was going to see bruce and afterwards everyone was saying how great he was plus i don't believe that any band should change their set to greatest hits only for a festival especially a band who have been around as long as bon jovi surely that would just show that they truly are a nostalgic band.

The NME is the biggest joke of a magazine in the UK, I'd trust Heat more regarding music.

Man, is someone really saying Bruce Springsteen bombed at Glastonbury because NME SAID SO?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

****in' hell. NME, Kerrang! and all that shit wouldn't know what music was if i hit them round their empty skulls and shouted "ROAR! I'M MUSIC!"

And **** NME for thinking Bruce bombed

NME, you're an NME of me, NME.

Their review wasn't too bad actually, but it just smacks of ignorance. That ****in magazine is for dead headed fans of bands like The klaxons or Franz Terdinand.

I would LOVE to seem the rise to the challenge of download. They can rock hard enough and put on enough of a show. We all know that...

They'd win over a crowd at Glastonbury, but would be better second on the bill... to? Hmmmm.. Tom Petty, the Stones, some non-sequiter pop band... kylie? They are neither cool nor populist enough to headline that gig.

Sadly, of all the UK festivals, V seems the most likely these days...

It would be quite interesting to see, but most bands (and I'm in no way just talking about Bon Jovi here ... look at the Kings Of Leon at Reading this year) just play exactly the same setlist at a festival (no matter which festival it is too) as they would at their own gig, and then blame the audience for not responding like the audience at one of their own gigs would.

I'd say they're more likely to play Hard Rock Calling than V Festival, but as you're probably just talking about full camping festivals, we're not at odds over this Its not hard to see them playing the V Festival though ... Absolute Radio seems to be just about the only UK station playing WWBTF at the moment
