They also came here on the new jersey tour for onw date i think it was.
Van Halen came here not to long ago, so did motley crue and the rolling stones are coming soon.

BJ are rumoured to be coming here to play in the new coliseum but there's no official news.

I see your point, but surely, the cost of the venue and local staffers would be a lot cheaper to reduce the ticket prices?

but you are right, I doubt the t-shirts will be flying off the shelves at $40 each.

People tend to give Latin American countries a bad name. But the fact remains that while these countries do have a lot of problems, no country is completely perfect. After all, where do you think 90% of Colombia's cocaine ends up?

First of all I'm not trying to start anything. These stats and comments were taken from a music mag that as a rule is very liberal and open to anything, which is why them printing this caught my eye.
Seb , look at the dates. How much has the world changad in ten years?? Matin, I think you may be right at least in part. It probably isn't cost effective to go to this part of the world, and it somehow seems wrong to go down there charge 50 to 100 bucks a ticket and 30 bucks a t-shirt.
I'm not saying that they shouldn't, just that some of these stats would certainly give a band reason to think twice. And if Mr. Humanitarian, Bono, isn't dragging U2 down there it has to be for a reason other than money.
Arash, Everyday was filmed in New Mexico, which is a state in the US.

Exactly, the world changed. Not only those countries in South America. And it's bulshit. And someone mentioned a lot of other bands that do tour there. So why can't Bon Jovi tour there. Because of the dangers that you mentioned? Nah...

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

It's not as though the band are taking a holiday in any of these countries. They go, play the dates, then move on to the next country. They are not going to be spending any time walking around the backstreets of some dodgy city in South America. As to bombs in the stadium? Did Metallica or Iron Maiden's gigs get disrupted? These people are after drug money, not mass murder.

I find this really... With no sense... And I'm really sorry, but those are stupid reasons. Yeah, the world changes in 10 years, fortunately Mexico is better today than 10 years ago. Bon Jovi came to Mexico city on OWN Tour, april 25, 2001. I understtod that bounce tour was short because of the terrorism around the world, but ANYWAY, they came to Mexico to a TV program and to get a prize on 2002. U2 won't visit Mexico until an ex-president's son apologizes for something he did... So, these topic should not exist... Believe me, the situation worldwide is almost the same.
