Believe me... We're not dying for money, people can spend that...
OWN tour- Mexico City. Front row seats: 120€, all tickets sold

this is bullsh1t....

1. US isn't a security paradise, even with all the security plans that Poosh has set. And the situation (at least in MX City) isn't that serious. The authorities exaggerate with all this crap.

2. BJ are able to pay security for theirselves, so what's the big drama?

3. Maybe we're not a major world power, but we have enough money to pay a BJ concert, souvenirs, etc. The fact that we cannot afford to clean our asses with $50 bills doesn't mean that we are all mendigating on the streets.

We have much better uses for $50 bills than wiping our asses with them, thats what $1 bills are for

I read about the brazilian situation, where you said(and is partially true) Sao Paulo has a lot of crimes,etc... But I ask you... Isn't that normal?! The city has 36 MILLION people... That isn't 19 million like the largest american cities... that's 36! That's pretty normal for a place this big to have a lot of crimes ( we can say that is bigger than LOTS of countries...)

If they are scared of going there for terrorism, they shouldn't be. OK, so these things happen and it's terrible, but the fact is that there's likely to be terrorist attacks wherever you go. In fact, according to the UK Foreign Office website, there's a higher risk of terrorism in every single European country than in Argentina. And terrorists are going to carry out their attacks whether BJ or any other band play in a country or not.

Sao Paulo, Brazil: Sao Paulo had more murders than rival deathtrap Rio de Janerio last year, including 73 animals at the city zoo.
Caracas, Venezuela:Travelers are warned to arrive during daylight to avoid being robbed leaving the airport. Venezuela is a politically volitale country, so demonstrations and bombings are widespread.
mexico City, mexico: The Dept. of State proclaims the crime level "critical". Cars are regularly stopped and robbed for valuables, often by local police.
Guatelmala City, Guatelmala: Inept law enforcement and massive corruption have led to what the United nations terms " an uncontainable spiral of violence". the Mayan ruins are a popular place for beating sightseers.
So i guess this explains the reason behind bands like U2 (no latin american dates on the schedule all year) motley crue (north america , europe only) and BJ leaving this part of the world off tours. It's sad and it sucks for fans from that part of the world but I don't blame any band for not wanting to risk their staffs and crews, much less themselves or even fans if someone decided to Bomb a stadium during a show or start a riot, for not putting this part of the world on a tour.
come on rainsong .. this is kinda racist isn't it ? I don't think this is the reason why at all .... the reason why is called $$ and interest I think unfortunately the target is not to fullfill stadiums in countries they don't want to go to ... they know they could sold out stuff but they don't want to bother they want the usa market way more than anything else because it bring them back more $$...I do believe they don't visit or visit country on a $$ basis if the country is a big record buyer a big stadium goers and NOT TOO DEMANDING they will go if not forget about it

ps NOT TOO DEMANDING means to not ask the band for tv or radio to not ask for small venus and longer stay on tour and so on

pss yes most of the bands world wide don't tour in the countries you mentionned above this is not just bon jovi !!!but it's not about safety ....this is an capitalism syndrom to think safety is only at home ...
