gosh are you shallow.
i dont like flossing with any sorts of pubic or facial hair. sorry. i have certain standards.
And what makes you think you deserve these standards when you don't bother to offer the same to the opposite sex?

Caracas, Venezuela:Travelers are warned to arrive during daylight to avoid being robbed leaving the airport. Venezuela is a politically volitale country, so demonstrations and bombings are widespread.
mexico City, mexico: The Dept. of State proclaims the crime level "critical". Cars are regularly stopped and robbed for valuables, often by local police.
Guatelmala City, Guatelmala: Inept law enforcement and massive corruption have led to what the United nations terms " an uncontainable spiral of violence". the Mayan ruins are a popular place for beating sightseers.
So i guess this explains the reason behind bands like U2 (no latin american dates on the schedule all year) motley crue (north america , europe only) and BJ leaving this part of the world off tours. It's sad and it sucks for fans from that part of the world but I don't blame any band for not wanting to risk their staffs and crews, much less themselves or even fans if someone decided to Bomb a stadium during a show or start a riot, for not putting this part of the world on a tour.
Bullshit! In the past 5 years, Kiss, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Guns N Roses, among others, went to Brazil... And, in september, Scorpions will be there... So, this isn't a reasonable excuse for that
Meu grande amigo Glauber!!! Hahahha olha só aonde nos encontramos!! Hahahaha! Sou eu, o Glam/Guilherme como preferir :P

I agree with ya my friend!!

Jon Bon Jovi said he'll never go to Peru again because the day they played in Lima there was a massive shooting on the streets and bullets were just flying around their car.

Anyway, I don't think that's the reason. I'd rather say that latin-Americans are atracted to heavier acts than Bon Jovi. In the 80s, Bj were welcomed as a metal act. Just look at the crowd BJ had in Chile 1990 for example. Or the Mexico footage from Acces All Areas. You don't see something like that today. I guess that's why BJ doesn't go there.

Rolling Stones concerts here in Brazil, in 2006, was confirmed.

If the greatest rock'n'roll band in the world would comes to here, why others bands cannot comes too?
All because financial questions...
Our money don't have the same value of dolar or euro, and it is the main problem. When the Real (Brazilian money) was valorized, many bands had come to here (Bon Jovi in 95, Stones in 95 and 98, U2 in 98, and many others)... Now our economy is starting to grow year after year, and many rumours about concerts here are appearing... São Paulo not is a jungle... is the 3rd biggest city in the world. Like I said, it's all about money.

You're Gabriel, some people thinks that Brazil is still a "jungle country", they are totally wrong.

I only can have a laugh after reading such things about MY CONTINENT Latin America.
I've been a Bon Jovi fan for more years than I can count and I surely will be for the rest of my life and even more. But comments likes these really, really make me feel sick. I'm a socialist girl, I LOVE MY Country over anything else. I fight for justice each day. and Certainly poorness and violence ISN'T OUR fault ...Saying Bon Jovi won't come to Latin America because isn't secure??? is it a JOKE??? please...!!! it's a shame that people that know NOTHING about latins talk about our continent. Thank You...
Bon Jovi music unites the world and give peace...let's have respect for the rest and other countries...please is all i ask for!
BON JOVI RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, I agree...

The real reason that bands like BJ avoid coming to Latin American countries is cost. Most of the time, our currency is devaluate against the dollar, so if the cost of the cheapest tickets is, for example, U$50 (which is a reasonable price) , they would have to charge about R$ 125,00 per ticket in Brazil. Considering that the cheapest tickets would be sold out soon, they would begin to sell tickets more expensive, like US$ 100 or so, which means R$ 250, and this price I´m sure that even in North America a lot of people would not be willing to pay, and the expected return would be below the mean.
Although is very true that big bands such as Rolling Stones have already
played here a lot of times before, depending on the tour and the expected
return it does not compensate coming to Brazil or any other country with a
devaluate currency.
