So far we have had a few hearings of These days, In these arms and now last night we got I Believe! Great! ....18 days till Glasgow! Bring it on baby!
I want them to come out with something less... iffy... I Believe only makes the newer songs seem ok.

They 'should' (i.e if I was them I'd be doing this) be playing a few (notice the word few, I'd like it all to be but for a balanced set) songs like Tokyo Road, Breakout, Homebound Train, If I was Your Mother, Fear e.t.c... These are rockyer songs, older songs, and they're different to the sort of pop rock that they seem to be exhausting the sets with...

In a long show, by a band that plays largely the same versions of songs from night to night, the basic set list should be a lot better. Bringing in thigns like These Days is good, and adding veriety on the tour in this way is something I think this band needs to do, but their basic set should be much much better and it's not... Even bands who you wouldn't expect to change things too much usually introduce a few new songs each tour, and not just new ones... This tour has had runaway (big huge gigantic plus!) but not really anything else. If they added another say 5 songs in the runaway vain, i.e older numbers, that have been dropped, Let It Rock for instance, then the set list would be very good. Even though there's a lot I don't like with the newer stuff, captain crash and so on, but if it was a ballanced set, which was more varied from the last tour I'd be happy.

As Thierry was saying - the harder songs wouldn't have worked in last nights atmosphere. It was so hot - ppl were dropping out, the guy in front of me was sick & for a 2.5 hr setlist it wouldn't work.

Nor would it fit the balance.
