Technically by name they are. We all know who the self proclaimed "CEO" and "quarterback" is. That's why he says things like "I'll see ya soon" and "I'm gonna play something I haven't played in a while" and "I'm glad to be back". And why everyone (well, not Richie) is replaceable. But yes, I grew up loving "Bon Jovi" as in the band and continue to. But let's be honest, they coul dhave a new drummer or bassist again or keyboard and they'd still sell out. Yes but still they are a band not a solo artist ? AC/DC can't replace Angus Young still they are a band, so easy is that..

They could, but shouldn't. They did go on without Bon Scot. Aerosmith had a new guitarist once and almost had to get a new singer last month (Steven threatened to go solo). Guns N Roses is a "band" too, but we all know it's Axl's deal. Bon Jovi is a band, but again, take away any band member (other than Richie) and they still have a huge successful sold out tour.

So because one member has a more important role than the others means they aren't a band at all and it's a solo thing with a backing band? No.

Agree, it is kind of wrong. Back in the day they were a band, but it slowly became otherwise. But it's still good and we still love them/him.

The worst atmosphere was at Glasgow in 2003, horrible and worst BJ show I have been to, and I have been to many.

The crowd were quiet and lame that night - I am not bashing Glasgow here at all as it may have been down to the show (Bounce tour) but that is what I remember.
