I stand corrected. When Ticketmaster originally listed the Canadian shows, it showed the tickets ranging from $97.50 - $135.00 (at the ACC, anyways).

EXCLUSIVE tickets through backstage that get marked up 300%.

WTF is that????

I have spent so much time defending these guys, but the more I defend them the more difficult they make it to defend them.

I'm honestly starting to think that business guides the good ship Jovi much more than any passion that they have for making music. Everything they do is obviously calculated to capitalize on sales.....I can picture it now, a bunch of marketing people crunching #'s saying "Jon, we've gotta find a way to capitalize on country right now.....what can you come up with?"......VOILA! - Lost Highway.

Fair enough it's a good record (not near their best - but solid), but this ticket business, that's just a whole new kick in the nuts.

I for one have been on stage a few times, I have been front row a few times, and I certainly won't be one of the exploited fans shelling out $400 for seat that should rightfully be no more than a disgusting $135.

I'll join the face-value folk in the rows after 15. I'll have a great time at the shows I go to and I certainly won't feel exploited by the back stage moneygrabbing.

Absolutely the WORST fanclub out there - they have really tainted my whole Bon Jovi experience.

I'm sorry, I just had to share and get this off my chest.

I'm getting sick of all this BS - if they spent as much time focussing on the music as they do about finding ways to screw loyal fans we'd have been treat to AMAZING MUSIC these past 10 years.

Final thought, I was always under the impression that loyalty was to be rewarded; why is it then,as a loyal Bon Jovi Supporter, all you get is a fatter bill at the end of the day. What's up with that?

Cheers,

Mikey
I take it the BS stands for Bull Shit not Backstage!

it is not just the fc-tickets, when they tour in Europe they visit only visit central part of europe. They choose big cities and short distances- to make as much money as they can. U2 and Springsteen play even in my little country Norway. These bands cover almost the whole of Europe. They don`t just go for the easy money. They dedicate themselves to see all of their fans.

I had a ticket for 11/1 show in Section 21 - left corner furthest away from the stage. Am coming from Boston and decided to upgrade myself, thinking that what the hell, I'm travelling to see the band I LOVE and I'm gonna be that far away? $300 for 10th row, right stage (not even Richie's side) - but to me it is worth it for the experience of being up close and personal, as I've always been!! Foxboro for Have a Nice Day tour I was in the "pit" and Boston Garden the December before I was in a box - I guess i've been "spoiled"... but I just can't wait to once again experience the magic of a Bon Jovi concert ... regardless of the price. Do you guys really think they have any say in the ticket prices? I remember going to concerts as a kid and paying $40 no matter WHERE the seat was.. first come, first served.

100% that the band is involved with this decision in some way shape or form. It's their most significant revenue stream (as I'm sure they make far more money touring than selling records) so they'd be completely daft not to be involved.

Stuff like this does foster a sense betrayal on some level.

I love the music and it's a great show.....but the cash you need to dole out as a "fan" is just getting bloody rediculous.

Before it was just the scalpers and touts - but it seems our band has a dopted a philosophy akin to "If you can't meat'em join 'em" because rather than finding a way to prevent scalpers from ripping off fans they've decided to do the scalping themselves.

Words can't describe how disgusted I am at this point with this move.

Regretfully yours,

Mikey
