I hope to;

1. Hear Hey God finally.
2. Choose the right venues for that (ie. to be extremely lucky)
3. No injuries and canes
4. No alcoholism (at least no alcoholism that will lead to Bobby playing instead of Richie)
5. No LH songs. At all.
6. No new album songs - whatever that will be I'm pretty sure it will suck
7. No short shows with vanilla sets (Athens)
8. No backstagers. No screaming girls, my ears still hurt.
9. Diamond Circle tickets at whatever price but less queuing and no number system (don't know how's that possible but I hate queuing and I hate the number system )
10. No more leather vests. Please, someone teach that band a sense of style.

Agree with most of what has been said- Bobby needs taken off the solos, but he still does a job for the band.
I would hope that there is a pretty big setlist shake up for when they return- as the structure since the HAND tour has been pretty samey. Get rid of some of the overplayed tracks like Crash, Sleep & Who Says- give them a break so we can grow to like them again.

Also give every show at least 1 rarity for the diehards- have a pool of 20 or so songs for the whole tour and pick one for each show, so even if a show gets a vanilla set the die hards still get something to treasure.

Share the love with the yanks too! If its possible to do away with the seats at shows there then do it- the crowd will improve dramatically, but give them something to cheer about to.

Play every song off the new album during the course of a tour promoting the said album. If you are promoting that album and you are proud of it enough to release it, then it should be good enough to play in its entireity in some form across the whole tour.

Finally, another vote for a Richie solo. Richie is so much more important than he has been given credit for by being sidelined without his own song. He needs to do a song, be it a Jovi song or preferably one of his own. If the crowd takes a piss break, it doesnt matter. He deserves his moment in the spotlight- as does Dave- make him sing In These Arms more. Not a fan of drum solos in a concert, but some recogntion for Tico too- the long intro to LYHOM could have him smash it up a bit for instance.

Aloha !

I agree as to Bobby not playing anymore solo's or actually learning how to play a guitar solo, a thing that really isn't that difficult. What most people on Jovitalk do not realize is that if Bobby would not be there Jon would suddenly sound a lot more horrible than what they actually hear. Bobby covers up a lot for Jon, he sings pretty much the entire chorus of Bed Of Roses in the same key Jon does just so that if Jon fails to deliver there'll always be someone singing it and people won't notice it as much. I've started to think that Bobby isn't really there for guitar duties but more for vocal duties.

As for hopes of the next tour; Jon having the balls to drop songs like Crash, Sleep, We Got It Going On and the likes in exchange for songs that aren't piss easy to sing for him and haven't been done to death. Basically redoing the b-section of the set (with a section being the hits and c section being the new songs). The start of The Circle tour was promising but as soon as he saw America getting to the beer stands during the unknown album tracks like Roulette and Hey God he gave up on it right away, instead of being a true artist and trying out different things to please an audience. What he did was "Oh the new thing doesn't work, back to the old thing". There's many ways that lead to Rome, but he had to follow the most difficult one by singing songs he could barely sing anymore to an audience that had completely forgotten about them or didn't know them at all.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I was going to say this ... He covers a LOT for both Jon and Richie ...

Agree with what Seb said and this. As long as Bobby stays the heck away from the guitar solos im fine with him being there.

This has been discussed to death here, but Bobby is a very good sound filler. He does a very good job filling the sound, IMO Dry County now sounds better than it sounded when played with only Richie on guitar. And he is a terrific backing vocal, that guy can sing.

On the other thread, I said fire him, because as far as we know, Jon won't keep him away from the solos, I even think he will get more solos on the next tour ...

Jon for the most part does keep him away from the solos. Bobby's spotlight consists of the Bad Medicine medley cover which he manages to do and butchering In These Arms solo. Then again, Jon butchers In These Arms too.

Another thing with the jukebox is that it would be quite good if they did more contemporary songs here and there, like Linkin Park did a pretty good "Rolling In The Deep". They did Mercy but generally tend to stay away from the current stuff- it would be fun for something out of the ordinary and could work well, and get crossover appeal if nailed correctly.

Really good suggestion.

That would be interesting. I did like the cover of Vertigo they did. It's just so touchy, there. What songs would be right? I think they would like to keep doing Rolling Stones covers endlessly, I think they've covered about half of their discography already.
