What most people on Jovitalk do not realize is that if Bobby would not be there Jon would suddenly sound a lot more horrible than what they actually hear. Bobby covers up a lot for Jon, he sings pretty much the entire chorus of Bed Of Roses in the same key Jon does just so that if Jon fails to deliver there'll always be someone singing it and people won't notice it as much. I've started to think that Bobby isn't really there for guitar duties but more for vocal duties.

On the other thread, I said fire him, because as far as we know, Jon won't keep him away from the solos, I even think he will get more solos on the next tour ...
Dont agree with this at all. But i suppose what Seb says goes hey...woh betide someone that will diagree with the God Seb...

great call...

I only have one wish for their next tour:

I would like for the band to go write and record a record which they will be willing and able to play live on a constant basis. This, of course, means putting an end to the excessive amount of layering and to the ridiculous amount of production effects.

Starting with the "Bounce" tour, they have been performing a lot of greatest hits shows with some songs from whatever their current album was thrown into the set (yes, I know there were a couple of shows were the entire LH record was played).

I would like for the band to stick to their latest work instead of playing some of the new songs live and then completely giving up on them. Even if they don't go over exceptionally well, I would like for the band to prove the fact that they're true artists who are proud of their work and willing to show it to the world. With The Circle, it was very obvious that the band was really proud of it, yet had completely given up on the new songs (in spite of never having played some of the songs)by the end of the so called Circle tour. They chose to play it safe by performing more mediocre songs from previous records instead.

So, please show some rock'n'roll spirit and attitude, write tunes they are comfortable with and perform them like they mean it.

The Claw was the best stage setup I've seen from any band. And whether you like U2 or not, it's foolish to say it's not impressive.

Also, Bon Jovi will never bring back pyro. That is a thing of the past, and they're just not that kind of band. Sure they may occasionally have fireworks at the end of a show or during Keep The Faith or something like that, but I think it would look rather stupid with blazing fire and explosions going off in the show from a band like this. The stage production was indeed lame for the stadium shows - the only songs with good production were the worst songs they played that went off like a lead balloon - Working Man, When We Were Beautiful, and to a much lesser degree Born To Follow.

yep - i hate to say it but look at Take That's recent tour. Their stage stuff was out of this world. These days stage pyro stuff was pretty decent stuff though
