Just out of curiosity, what kind of a reaction did Living In Sin get in Kiel?

I thought I read it somewhere else too that the overall reaction to songs like Living In Sin, Something To Believe In, I'd Die For You and Diamond Ring etc wasn't really all THAT spectactular at the US shows. The die-hards (=people from the Backstage Board basically) were over the moon for them of course, but the majority of the crowd were not really into them at all. Have I understood things wrong, or was it actually that way over there?
In Philly the reaction was a lot different than Giants. Philly crowd was a bit tame, but at Giants everyone was going nuts. New Jersey band, New Jersey crowd, always a great show no matter what they sing.
