How do you get in the onstage fan Pit?

Just wondering how do you get to go in the onstage fanpits.

I understand that you are given a wristband and you get to spend a couple of songs on stage/either side of stage.

I always believed you got these if you happended to win a competition. Radio Prizes etc.

I have been a member of the fan club in the past few years. and reason i got this was to get into the front pit at concerts.

Now with the introduction of gold circle i wondered if this was one of the new perks.

Or is it a case of being picked out.

I am sure i watched a BJTV episode one time and Obie was walking around the stadium/arena giving out wristbands.

Is this what happens or is it something else.

If anyone has been on stage with the band be great to hear about how you got to do this.

I am attending 3 shows this June and be cool if i could get on stage!

I don't know how it works in the UK but in the US most people who get up on stage are radio contest winners. I have heard about people getting lucky and getting bracelets at the concert- sometimes they do have extra and I guess they do pass them out. It is really all about luck I guess.

I had a clear view of what was goin on with this when i saw them in 2003 on the Bounce tour in Wolverhampton...

Basically it is only available to people with the Gold Cirlce tickets...and you simply have to join a que (ther is one either side of the stage) and then they simply let around 20 people in from each que every so often...the only down side to it is it looked like u couldnt actually see the stage where u had to que from as it was on the sides where u had to que like.....it didnt look like it was perticularly busy though...u wouldnt have to like miss loads of songs to be able to go in...maybe just 1 or 2 and u'd get in...
