Default How many members at Dutch & Belgium concerts?

Hi all,

I was just wondering; since people are beginning to 'worry' about their place in the pit(s)... Personally, I am going to see Amsterdam and Ostend.

Does anyone have any idea how many fanclubmembers usually visit the concerst these countries? 100's? 1000's?

Greetz,

michel

Don't worry about the wristbands....there'll be enough probably...
Amsterdam: Don't be discouraged by the craziness going on in Amsterdam (where Mojo, the concert organiser, know d**k for brain) and people fighting over getting in trough one small door (imagine a regular door, only smaller and a few hundred hysterical people want to get in all at once)...you will get the wristband for sure, since they never close up until everyone is in.
In Oostend prepare for quite a struggle as well as only 2 or 3 regular small offices are there to hand out the bands... there's no barriers at all (lots of people trying to sneak before you! damn it!)...just be patient and you'll get a wristband...(I waited for 1,5-2 hrs in 2000, got my band and was a happy man)

It'll probably be less crowded there than last tour because a) BJ were all over the media then and considered popular, meaning more spontaneous fans and b) 1 wristband per member instead of 2 per member...

for both shows about 1500 fc members are there (my guess)...

-----no suing me if the above doesn't come true-----

It's usually between 500 and 1.300. Munich 2001 were the most fanclub members and they gave out 1.300 wristbands. In the Pits fits around 2.900 people so you really don't need to worry. There are enough wristbands and enough spots in the pit.

what i don't understand then is: why not give two wristbands to members? there is more than enough space in the pit!

Because the Number of fanclub-members increases and Backstage has to pay the promoter for the wristbands. The fanclub doesn't get them for free.

Maybe if they would buy even more wristbands it would become too expensive.

sorry, you misunderstood me chris. what i mean is: why hand out more than half of the wristbands to general public rather than giving two wristbands to the fanclub members?

Because Backstage has to pay for the wristbands and they can't buy as many as they want to. It could happen that some members don't get any wristband but others get two, like what happened in America with the fanclub-tickets at some cities.

Thanx for the info! I'm not worried, in fact I was just curious and since I am a new member, I was curious what to expect: how big the lines will be etc.

Though I don't like to read that even te members are putting up a fight to get in....... man...

I mean: even if you were the last of the members to enter the pit (and you'd still be earlier then 'normal' public)... the worst place you could have is what, the 4th, 5th from the stage?

Thanx,

michel
