Bon Jovi are just as big as ever. They're right up there with the Stones in terms of popularity here in Germany. However, we ain't talking about arena shows such as those they play in the US. Some of the venues they'll play in Germany have a capacity of 100,000+. Mannheim is TWICE as big as Giants Stadium, just to give you a rough idea.
As Sambo-Chris has already pointed out, there are a number of top-selling bands touring Europe at the same time which of course has a major impact on Bon Jovi's ticket sales. The stadium shows in Gelsenkirchen, Bremen, Erfurt and Munich will be sold out come tour time. Floor standing tickets for both Gelsenkirchen and Munich were sold out shortly after the tickets had gone on sale. Bon Jovi can always count on their massive fanbase in New Germany.
