That's what Marit meant and she didn't recomment Select Promotions. They were very much cheaper a few days back. But maybe the way Marit shows how to find other ticket agencies you can find a cheaper one.

Do you consider it much of a recommendation to advice fellow Jovi fans to buy their tickets from scalpers? I know Marit had the best of intentions but I don't see why other fans should be encouraged to waste their money on the greedy touts!

Are ticket agencies scalpers? I don't know but you find ticket agencies all over London and I don't imagine that they are something illegal.

Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know the English law. The sellers at eBay are for sure scalpers but I'm not sure for ticket agencies. Sure, they rip off the people with prices like 200 Pounds plus VAT and I never would pay that much.

Anyone who sells tickets at an outrageous amount like ten times face value is a scalper! They literally SCALP people who are desperate enough to pay ridiculous sums for a concert ticket.

Sure, that's absolutely true. But I'm afraid as long as there are people willing to pay that much and even more (look at eBay) it won't stop. The authorities should be much more behind something like that.

Some ticket agencies in London are just as bad as touts. How can they charge £100 for a £25 ticket? They may as well just stand outside the venue and sell them there. Like you say, as long as people are paying the stupid prices then they will continue to do so. I really don't know how they get away with it.
I am one of the lucky ones that got tickets but if I hadn't I would just accept it and wait for the tour...there would be NO WAY I would pay 4 times the amount that the ticket was originally selling for. Some people are paying 8 times the amount!!!

Thanks for the hint, I've just contacted about 10 sites to see what price they will offer. For such an intimate show like Shep Bush I am willing to pay over the face value, even though I know I'm being ripped off (in that it's not going to the band). I saw Richie play there a few years back, awesome !
