If your not a family member, a friend of the band or a competition winner, you have NO chance whatsoever.

What do you want with them? Standing around disturbing the people working there? Jumping into Jon's wardrobe "hi, here I am" ?

I'll probably never will understand why some people are so much behind backstage passes. They don't have any use for them, only with a planned meet & greet which you can't buy (thank God since this would be a REAL ripp off of fans) but only win in contests of radio stations or magazines. And the meet & greets are rarely backstage.

And backstage passes still don't guarantee you access to the band. They have a closed off area that you can't get into without permission so all you are likely to see is a bunch of guys working.

You don't want to be backstage. Trust me. I was on the guest list for the band Simple Plan a few weeks and backstage 'life' is boring. Like others said backstage area doesn't mean dressing room(I heard Bon Jovi allows no one, not even guests of the band, near the dressing room within an hour and a half of showtime), basically it means you get to try to avoid getting in the way of an expensive production.

bingo.

backstage is exactly that. the bit behind the stage. it's the same from a stadium all the way down to the makiest bar in town, just with different decorations.

watching gigs from side stage is shit too. you're probably better off watching from the front, getting backstage literally does ruin the magic image that you've dreamed up and perpetuated of what it would be like.

Backstage is the back of the stage.

Wouldn't you rather see the front??
