Huge, Amazing News!!!!!

I was at the Penn State-Illinois college football game eysterday in State College, PA. The Public Address Announcer started to review dates of concerts at the Bryce Jordan Center on campus. Well anyways.....he announced the following:

"Just confirmed to the Bryce Jordan Center on February 8, 2003 Bon Jovi with the Goo Goo Dolls!"

I think this is an amazing choice for an opening act and cannot wait for this tour. Also gives us an idea of when the US tour will be happening. What do you think of the choice of opening acts? Much better than anything on the Crush/OWN tours in US, IMO.

If that is true, all I can say is OMJ! I love the Goos- what a great opener and their fan base is about the same as Bon Jovi's. I will definitely get to the show on time and not hang in the lot tailgating for too long if this is true!

How I´d love that could be true. The Goos are one of my favourite bands and i believe they're the best opening act bon jovi has had for the last tours.
Although here in Europe the Goos are not as known as in the US, I think it'd be good if they want to have a succesfull tour.

I'm actually kind of surprised they would be an opening act because they are really popular here in the US right now.. more popular than Bon Jovi. Anyway, that's great news!

That would be the best combination for me. MY TWO FAVE BANDS!!! I saw the GGD twice on their tour this summer (would have been three if they came back to FL on the fall leg of the tour). They are incredible live. However, I know that both bands are not really fans of each other. Both have made comments about the other.....Plus, usually, not always, but usually, bands have an opening act that is on the same label as them to promote that other band. But if this is true though.....OH MY GOD!!!!!!!

I never heard any Bon Jovi- Goo Goo Dolls controversy. OK, dish- what did they say?

I am wondering too.
The only thing I've heard is that Johnny is constantly compared with Jon and he is probably sick of that.

Well, isn't that interesting considering all the Jon/Bruce comparisons Jon has had to put up with- about time the younger kids get to be compared to Jon.
