Default I Believe...live '95

I'm listening to the performance of I Believe from one of the singles..the performance is from June 4th, 1995, in Germany..my question is...i hear two guitars going...the lead and the rythem...i know one is Richie, but i doubt the other is Jon..only cuz the rythem part is loud and clear and distorted..very unline his normal telecaster tone and i doubt he played the parts while singing...Jons not playing lead either cuz the lead is perfect and played while Jon is singing in some parts..

can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Jon did play rhythm guitar on I Believe on the 95 tour - he even played the solo at some shows.

I didn't know that he played the solo at some of the shows.... By the way did he play it on a telecaster?

I believe so yes. I'll try and find a video and have a look.

I think either Richie or Jon redid the guitar parts in the studio before the release. I have numerous bootleg-recordings of I believe and on all of them there is no clear version like the one on the singles, so I guess it's a fake...Usually Jon screws up the riff..
They did it before (Wembley 95 video "Bad name" and "Hey God" and Zurich 2000 "Prayer, just listen to the parts Richie plays on Bad name- there are 2!! guitars audible and on Hey God and Prayer Zurich you can clearly see his talkbox doing something else than you're actually hearing)

Clear out, SB
