I have a thought

hmmm i was expecting a set date for my surgery yesterday but all i got was: as soon as possible in june.

so taking into account the time i'll be in hospital and the recovery period i might not be makign it down at all never mind to the meet up.

get them told Jim!!!!

i phoned my surgeon person up the other day to be told "hes just come back from a 3 week holiday" "he'll be in touch as soon as" so i could end up with something in june, i hope not haha

not much i can do about it.

the surgeon only operates on monday and he's losing two theatre days in may because of bank holidays.

the soonest i can get taken in is the 4th of june which would be fine but again whether that happens or not is a different matter. i've still got stuff to sort out before he can set a date too.

cancer patients will be operated on before me (and rightfully so) but if it's not the 4th it'll need to be the 11th i go in at the very latest or i won't be making it unless the surgery is after the gig.

what a dilema! i hope its as soon as for you

I was gonna say I'm definitely up for it, but I see that I'm already added on to the list Will be cool to meet up!!!

I'm up for meeting Saturday and having one or two pre-show pints on Sunday, too. Tom and Mike McRock are in town on Sat as well, I'll see if I can get them to come along too.

Although I gotta agree with Jim - there are so many nice places in London, why would you even bring up Wetherspoons... (except for the prices... and the Swedish cider... and the fact that they're on every corner... and they're actually quite nice... and... and...)

the only way i won't be there is if i'm in hospital or just out when i;'m due to fly down because i will be totally wrecked if i'm even close to the state i was when i got out last year.

i dunno about the saturday. my bro, his missus and some friends are coming down down to london for the aerosmith gig and are staying in a hotel off trafalgar square so i think we'll be doing something on saturday night and i'm supposed to be going round some guitar shops and heading to camden with a guy i've bought some guitar toys off of in the afternoon but depending on who's all going to be there i'm sure i'll make an appearance at some point on the sunday.

just found out my surgery will be on monday the 11th and they reckon ill be in hospital for a week - 10 days recovering.

i would imagine itll be a week tops considering i was out in 9 days last year and i was in some state before the operation.

so all going to plan i should be down there but i might be keeping a low profile depending on my energy levels n stuff
