And my first too.

Letting You Go was incredible, just as the sun had dropped.

That show alone made me a Jovi fan for life.

No joke... I'd pay 10x... knowing I'd probably never need to go to a BJ show again.

I'm not saying it does. I was just pointing out how in 1996 they usually played an extra song or two after that. 25 songs is still quite a long show. The These Days Tour truly was a great tour: long, great sets, a band on fire a lot, and Jon still had great vocals.

This one just might edge out the Ibrox one, though.

Jon struggled with many songs actually but the difference was that he sounded different compared to now when he's struggling. And as for setlists and performances; the Helsinki show has an interesting set, but their best performances were in Cologne, Frankfurt and Pamplona.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I would say that Jon as a whole sounded great in 96, but in 95 he sounded phenomenal. His singing style was so much better back then than it is now. The band had so much more passion, though. Even if he was struggling, Jon still gave it his all.

What are some of the songs he struggled with in 1996? I'm no vocal expert, but I thought he sounded pretty good on most of the songs.

The '96 shows were a bit of a let down for me, I just have the overriding memory of them starting Wanted accoustic and feeling my heart sink into my arse. My first gigs were 1993, the Wembley Arena show was pretty damn good and the Milton Keynes follow-up on the Sleep When I'm Dead tour in the summer was awesome. Found this set list online for it...

1.I Believe
2.Wild in the Streets
3.You Give Love a Bad Name
4.Born to Be My Baby
5.Can't Help Falling in Love
(Elvis Presley cover)
6.Bed of Roses
7.Keep the Faith
8.I'd Die for You
9.Blood Money
10.Blaze of Glory
11.Lay Your Hands on Me
12.I'll Sleep When I'm Dead / Jumpin' Jack Flash
13.Bad Medicine
14.Shout
(The Isley Brothers cover)
15.Help!
(The Beatles cover)
16.Wanted Dead or Alive
17.In These Arms
18.Livin' on a Prayer
19.I'll Be There For You
