Damned is better, If I Was Your Mother is non Bon Jovi style. Bad song (IIWYM), good reason.

That depends which Bon Jovi period your talking about. If If I Was your Mother was released in the 80's, I don't think it would be that big a leap for them. It's a different song for them because of TD, Crush and Bounce, which was the real change in style. Bon Jovi were a rock band, and IIWYM was just another great rock song.

damned is good - a great song...

IIWYM supercedes it as a rock song hands down...
