I probably won't have enough money to do a multiple shows, so I'm really interested what you think. Which european shows are more likely to be the best ones? Slane, Milan, Munich?...So if you could attend only one show, which would you choose??

Portugal, which I am indeed attending
not because I'm Portuguese, but mostly because we got one of the best shows of all tour two years ago. Being the last one on the tour surely boosted Jon's creativity - performance wise and setlist wise.

Definitely Spain, Portugal or Italy. The San Siro in Milan would be my choice. The passion of the fans genuinely surprised the band in Udine last tour. It was sold out - be it a smaller venue. But The San Siro will be rammed this time. There could be knocking on 70,000 there. Italy is in Jon's blood, this could be a European homecoming.

I'm quite certain Milan will be huge - or go to Cologne, the last German concert on a tour is almost guaranteed to be great.

I'm planning to go Glasgow show, that would be a nice one just before the final of the european leg. Anyone who is from Scotland or anyone has knowledge about there what are the options for transportation between edinburgh and glasgow, how much time it takes and if I have 5-6 six days in scotland in which city should I stay glasgow or edinburgh?

There's a train straight from Edinburgh to Glasgow and vice versa, takes about 30-45 minutes depending on which service you take. Both are good cities to stay in.

As to the original post - Slane - which I'm doing. I'm just hoping for an incredible atmosphere at this show. I'm annoyed they added the Isle Of Wight the day after, but I'm sure Slane will get the better show.

I'm not from Scotland but I'm close by being in Newcastle. I can tell you that the shuttle train service between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Queen St takes 50 mins however if it was me I would stay in Glasgow. From the last three gigs I went to at Hampen Park the show finished between 10:30 and 11:00pm. Due to the amount of people getting a train from the nearest station (Mount Florida) was an impossibility and it was either a 2-3 mile walk into the city centre or walk to the next station up the line and take pot luck.

I would say by the time you get back into Glasgow City Centre it would be too late for a train back to Edinburgh. However whether there is a night bus I don't know.
