This guy knows his shit. Best Richie song ever.

'One Light Burning'd be nice, too, but that would kill the place, unfortunately.

I don't know if it would kill the place or not, but I would love for him to do Father Time

It's a shame Richie's solo songs go over like lead balloons. I'd much rather hear One Light Burning than his take on any Bon Jovi song. They don't sound proper unless Jon is singing them.

Are you sure on that? As far as I'm concerned, Richie owns Homebound Train.

I'm quite positive that in my opinion Richie's HT doesn't do justice to the original. I know many of you disagree with me, but I'm still entitled to my opinion.

Becky I agree. HT would be awesome if sung by Jon. I'd rather hear Richie sing his own stuff or harmonize with Jon.

Richie's HT was outstanding. For me he can't do ones like IBTFY or LYHOM, both are gospel (as someone already said) from back in the day. I love Richie's voice but I could not stand him doing IBTFY. If he is going to sing a BJ song instead of one of his own, then it needs to not be one of the gospel ones.

Just my opinion though and I am betting that my gospel list is not the same as everyone else's.

Although, the crowd overall re-acted to Richie singing it better than I thought.
I'm glad there's someone out there who agrees with me in regard to this, just something about it doesn't quite work - Jon can't quite handle the vocals and the keyboard is always far too high in the mix.

Richie doing HBT is awesome, absolutely inspired. I don't think there's any way that Jon would do it any better, not at this point. He's great on the ballads nowadays, but I still don't think he's quite able to give the hard rockers the balls that they need.

But as I said, Jon has been great with the ballads on the last two tours, which is why it was fantastic that I finally got to see him sing IBTFY, after seven years of five shows of Richie doing it. Not that Richie's take on it wasn't great, but it is nice to see such a song played in its original form.
