I would prefer a Richie solo song like Rosie (not the best of his solo stuff, but the most effective in a band show IMO.) But I can understand why LYHOM works so well. It's well-know enough that the crowd is into it, but obscure enough (compared to the other hits) that the crowd won't be disappointed that Jon's not singing it.
In any case, while I don't like it every night, I actually don't mind Richie's LYHOM.
