Default I'm coming out.....

as a backstager.

Just got back from New Jersey, severely jet lagged but i had to say a week late that show was fricking awesome
Worth every penny for a rarity whore like myself, even worth never getting anything from the FC and not even going to the message board because of the crazies.
I was hoping for Jon solo material and Jon delivered in spades. My only slight niggling disappointment is that probably my only chance to hear Santa Fe live has been and gone...but that's only slight disappointment

I'll be pouncing on the postman every morning now for this CD.
Haven't watched any YT stuff so you might all shoot me down now saying it was vocally rubbish, but i like the place where my head is at - because to me it was just awesome. My best gig ever.

*end of gushing*

Never fear -- the rest of the JTers who went were gushing, too. I still am, actually. It was just so good. And don't be afraid to go to YT. You'll like what you find!

I'm not the gushing sort and I'm still gushing about this concert - it was that good. Though I have read plenty of posts on backstage where people said that they were glad they didn't go - they are not fans of the solo stuff. Fair enough - but I am so glad I went LOL.

I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip here also.

Yeah we bumped into a couple of people in the lift of our hotel after the show, they were complaining about what was played. Most of me thinks 'what the hell? That was amazing' but the rational part thinks 'Oh well you can't please everyone', and i don't care because i was one of the pleased ones

And it was a great time thanks. Done MSG, done a small time gig, just Giants to check off my list

Oh i have one question for you though...Jersey roads? How the hell did you cope before SatNav? if i never see a 'jug-handle' again it won't be a moment too soon.

There is only one possible answer to this - I grew up here LOL. My husband did not and he asks the same question.

To us natives - it's obvious when a jug-handle is the right way to handle things and so we look for one with enough time to spare to find it LOL. My poor husband has blown past more jug-handles than you can imagine - looking for a left turn lane that never arrived

I sympathise with him and i was only there a week! So many times we were for example 'look there's a petrol station' but have to drive miles either be able to get over there or just wait for one on the right side.
