I like indoor shows and I like to go to a show and KNOW where my place will be when I get there. I don't like general admission at all.

I couldn't even think of sitting in a Bon Jovi concert!!! And with general admission your place is (or at least should be) up to how long have you waited. I've been to both indoor (2) and outdoor (3) concerts but always in the front row and I think I absolutely earn the place when I wait outside for 15 hours...

I know what you mean. The moment you make it that first row after all these hours waiting ...... the feeling is amazing, that's why I prefer general admision.

Anyway I don't care in the end.... But as long as they play in Europe it is okay for me.....

Oh, I RARELY sit at a Jovi show! LOL However, since I always have to travel quite a distance for a show and I work full time and have other responsibilities it's not feasible for me to get to a venue 15 hours ahead of time. I'd rather pay a ridiculous amount of money and guarantee myself a place at the front. I've been to several general admission shows and I really hate them. The band isn't really fond of doing them either, at least in the States. I've got an old interview clip of Richie talking about how dangerous they can be and I've seen first hand how Jon's had to take measures to get the audience and the body guards to cooperate to ensure people's safety.

Becky, I wouldn't necessarily go as far as to say that the band "isn't fond of doing GA shows"... I seem to recall Jon saying that the European audiences are much more intense than the US or the Japanese audiences, and I think that one reason for that intensity is precisely that our shows are still GA. So I don't think they have anything against GA shows as such, it's only the security issues that worry them. But security at Bon Jovi shows has usually been quite good, so they should be ok in the future too.

And as for the actual Q of this post, the same issue was raised on the BSWJBJ Board too, and I guess I can only say the same thing I said there -- both indoor and outdoor shows have their advantages and disadvantages, I can't really decide which ones I like better.

It seems like everyone here has already been to a BJ concert. I don't care about if it's indoor or outdoor. And If it would be in an overcrowded small room - I wouldn't care. I've never been to a concert of them and it's BON JOVI - all I want is to see them live.

I've been lucky enough to see them indoor and outdoors, I think the guys relax just a little more indoors, they don't have the weather to worry about. But then they also get the kick we do of the huge outdoor crowds, it's a tough Q, if I see them, I'm happy, but it's indoors for me.

The Dublin show was amazing!!! The biggest storm I have ever been out in but it all added to the show. We didn't mind the rain at all. The lightening even brought Jon to his knees!!! We were completely soaked (didn't stop raining at all!!) but we left that place completely amazed!!
I do prefer outdoor shows...there is a better atmosphere. I saw BJ in some small places when they were starting off but now they are so big they really need to to stadiums otherwise they will be touring forever to get us all in!!
