The thought of Wanklife getting to "rock" Croker rather than Jovi really pisses me off...why dont they piss off over to the Point where they can do 18 shows in a row like they usually do, so a proper band can rock Croker.

I have never been to Oxegen in Punchestown, I do remember Eminem playing there, as well as Radiohead and Limp Bizkit. If they manage to organise it properly and get a lot of people to turn up then it could be great.

No official word about dates for sale or anything yet. What prices do we reckon for GC tickets, about 90euro I'm guessing, really dont understand why UK tickets are so much more expensive than those for mainland Europe...

Westlife and Celine have been confirmed,Belfastboy said the eagles were not touring next year.So which leaves Springsteen as a good act to fill the place and he wanted to play dublin alright ,especially after his live album but with the Point now shut and landsdown Rd in rubble he went to Belfast but Id say negottiations were going on for a Dublin Venue when his tour was anounced..
Either way i still live in hope that its not Punchestown .

Does Punchestown really suck as a venue or is it simply because its a bit of a pain in the ass to get to?

Anyone been to a show there aside from Oxegen.

Am sure its dead on

I'm still living in hope too....but irishshin said it was on the backstage board this morning.
The eagles are'nt touring next year and theres nothing on westlifes site about croke...Im going the springsteen gig in belfast but might give punchestown a miss and go to croke if hes playing there......i dont do mucky fields and waterboots.

That really is dissapointing. Croke Park is such a spectacular place and so easy to get to but Puchestown is miles from anywhere.

Ah well, it's going to be fun seeing Bon Jovi playing in such a different enviornment and it will be worth all the hassel in the end, I'm sure.

Still, the venues for this particular tour have been a bit of a let down. No Croke Park and no Wembeley.

Talking mmmm......

not to sure about punchestown, it's a poor place for a gig, croker is definately out.
Semple stadium would have been a better spot.
But hey, wanna see the band then get out your Wellies... 'cos the racecourse is soft ground and even a spilled drink causes a muck pool!!!!
