Wanted, Lay Your Hands On Me, Keep The Faith, Prayer and Dry County should be played at every Bon Jovi show in my opinion. I really can't understand why Dry County was dropped, it's a perfect dramatic stadium rock song. I wouldn't miss Bad Name, Bad Medicine, It's My Life. Lay Your Hands On Me is still their best opener by a mile, Dry County should be maybe the first encore and Wanted to close the show. I'm also always disappointed if they don't do IBTFY especially with the extended solos. In case anyone says it would be boring to open with the same song in every show and end with the same song in every show. Deep Purple always open with Highway Star and Queen always closed with We Are The Champions and nobody ever complained about either of those two acts being boring.

Even I would get annoyed if DC was played every show, and I still believe it to be my favourite song ever written. But it should be played a few times each leg of the tour at least IMO.

No one's ever held Queen and Deep Purple up as an example of great setlists either

Most rock fans would consider them to be two of the greatest live bands ever.

What we're talking about is should certain songs be sacred and played at every show. I'm just pointing out that these two particular bands who nobody could call boring play certain songs at every show and there are no complaints. As for getting bored if they played DC at every show, it kind of depends how many shows you go to. I see them once on each tour so that's every couple of years, I can't see me getting bored with it that quickly. I'd never get bored with it anyway, DC and Wanted are my two favourites and I'd never tire of hearing them live.

I bet there are, or at least were complaints about the Queen and Deep Purple setlists on the relevent messageboards, or just among their 'hardcore' fans. Or at least there would be if some of the guys around here were harcore Queen or Deep Purple fans! From the other side, there's probably a number of people who are perfectly happy with the current BJ setlists (we don't ever hear from them though because they're all told to "piss off to Backstage within seconds)

On the DC note, I don't mean I'd get bored as such. Just if I went to one gig where they happened to play DC for like one of only 5 or 6 times that tour, it'd be so much more special to me than if they had played it every night that tour. See what I'm saying?

I sort of get it but you'd be pissed off if yours was one of the shows where they didn't play it and you got Captain Crash instead. As long as they play it whenever I see them I don't really care whether it's played at every other show or not, I don't see that it makes any difference. Anyway it's pointless argument as they never play it anyway.

That's probably an acoustic version i think its from Kiel or Minneapolis. I don't think you can compare these with the electric version of this master piece.

Livin On A Prayer I think would be the only song that would have to be in every setlist for me. Love it or hate it live, its the shear atmosphere in the venue that sends shivers down your spine every time!
