Oh yes, the weather. My fingers and toes are crossed. When I looked this morning, it wasn't bad, but there's still lots of time for things to change. I fly in on Friday night and out again on Monday morning. This is such a great time to be visiting Chicago! Here's to safe travel for the band and all of its crazy fans . . .

I'm excited! I've only seen them once before, on the last tour in Manchester, and will be seeing them in the same place again this time - and hopefully at Twickenham too!

I know that the setlists can look boring when you look over a whole tour, but unless you actually go to every show - who gives a ****? I certainly don't! I'll only be going to 1 show for sure, and possibly another 2, and I'm aware that the setlists will be pretty much the same across all 3 shows, but I'm also aware that they'll be energetic shows. I can understand all of the 'negative' points that people make - but for me, I really don't care! I know I'm going to have a ****ing great time in June, and no-one can change that!

I'm sure there will be a slight change between the 2 Twickers setlists, so I guess I am a bit excited about that.

But overall, I gotta be honest, I'm not half as excited as I was in 2006 (when I was gearing up to see them for the first time) in Milton Keynes

I'm excited about Philly, and it looks like I may be able to sneak into Chicago for a couple of shows so the next two weeks are going to be a blast!

I am beginning to wonder why I joined this board because I think there is way too much negativity going on. Anyway, I want this thread to be a happy one......

So, who's excited about seeing Bon Jovi live!!
I ain't. I didn't even go to the HAND-show, and I didn't want to get tickets for this tour; but that also has to do with the fact that they have to play in the worst-stadium-ever again; the Amsterdamn Arena. I have seen 5 shows, until the Bounce-tour. The last one was the worst; boring predictable shit; a let-down. I guess it's better to remember them as how they were on their peak, the 1st show of them I saw- back in '96...

Long-time fans like me just have the disadvantage that we experienced the difference between the shows before '97 and after '97....

I wish they would do as Bruce usually does playing Stadiums, mixing it up a little more, especially after reading an interview where Jon states that he is bored with some songs but still plays them because the audience wants them!? huh? Why? If you're bored singing them, get rid of them I say!
Anyways...It'll be a blast I'm sure!

Especially nowadays, the tours are the main income of bands. So to attract the biggest audiences, the setlists are based on the old, well-known hits. The old hits are the cash-cows. Even though Bon Jovi themselves want to play more new and rare songs, they just can't. They kinda became the slaves of their own old hits. It's the same with The Rolling Stones; they're totally relying on their live shows with the old hits; their new albums don't do much anymore.

Yes I'm excited....even with the same ho-hum setlist.

But then again, I am not like some of the members on the board who see them multiple times every tour since the 80s or 90s. I've seem them once during Bounce Tour and twice on the HAND Tour (both times Richie was ver subpar/drunk). If I went to the shows and had seen them in their prime, I would probably feel the same way. Unfortunately, all I have to go on is post-2000 shows and bootlegs of the 80s and 90s.
