But I still think that stadium is different than arena. Everytime when a huge national star comes to perform on stadium it is magical night. I'm sure that Jovi show could sell fine cause of youth of the fans these days. After Crush the fans base has gone some make over. Now there are also sister beginning fans and new found fans...
But these are just words flying, so I don't know, but I hope it from deep in my hearth...

I don't think I'd ever have gone to Oostende or Nijmegen for example if it wasn't for a Bon Jovi show. And Oostende was actually a really nice place

Hi Taija

Well ... same prob for France and it's not far from where they're going around ... Bercy wasn't sold out in 2001 but maybe the Zenith was a possibility this tour ... So i don't get it.

As for travelling .... i know lots of fans are doing it but not everyone can afford it. I mean petrol, motorway, food, hotel etc etc .....

Hi Jess

I just meant that if you are planning to have a holiday anyway, why not go to some place where BJ are playing. I know that it's expensive and couldn't have afforded it this time myself without the tax refund. But everyone has their own priorities and many people probably spend their money to something else than a BJ show...

The other thing is, I couldn't have done that when I was 17 either. I'm still surprised my mom let me go to a festival where BJ were playing in 1995 when I was only 15 (almost 16)! My little sister is now 14 and no way they would let her go to a festival next year! But that's a bit OT...

In terms of BJ coming to Finland, the cost of logistics will outweigh the profits from the concert, even if it's a sold-out stadium show. The only way Bon Jovi are gonna sell out Olympiastadioni is if no other big name is coming to Finland that year, and that's gonna be a bit difficult to arrange. Finland is too small a marketplace in comparison to the distance and difficulty of transport. The UK is just as "remote" and difficult to get to (water) but the marketplace is so huge that it's worth the while.

Another thing is that the band have families (some of them anyways) and will want to reduce the amount of time they are away from their families in some random places in Europe.

I don't understand them not doing a stadium in France though, because "it's just there"!

Hi Laura

You and Taija had a great time following the band on tour, good thing you did it cause you see now ... it's not that easy when one is married

Sure Taija, it's a question of priorities and mine would be a few days in another country with DC friends to see Bon Jovi somewhere for sure, but kids decided a week near by the beach all together would be better

Oh well .... maybe next tour (again ....)

Hihi, quote from our Bounce tour website:
"We knew that if we wanted to do this trip, this would be the time to do it. While still young, eager, and no children, mortgages, loans etc. to worry about, we could just pack our bags and go. It was now or never, and we knew if we didn't do it now, we would never do it."

Laura got married, I bought a house and have all too much mortgages but here we go again, rockin' all over Europe! Well, not maybe all over this time but 4 countries still

These post are ancient (from 2002) that have been dragged up recently. They are actually about the Bounce tour.

No shows are announced

Really? That seems rather stupid of someone..
But it would be strange if the band announced more European dates at this time so I guess I should have figured.. Thanks for clearing this up anyway.

You just have to accept that there are no gigs to be announced to HAND tour anymore. And maybe if there will, they're going to be in USA leg....
