Having listened to this show for the first time in a while, i've only just realised that they play springsteens The fever....with a saxophone?...did someone in the band play it or did someone come in to play for them?

Maybe we should start looking into the Jonas Brothers.

I have far too many different copies of this show - but none of them give a band listing. Even the cover artwork doesn't mention anyone else. My best guess would be that a member of Southside Johnny's band played the sax. In 1990 that would have been Joey Stann who is still with Southside today. Jon toured with SSJ's band in 1990 and he has used various members of his band for all sorts of things over the years (ie Bobby and Jeff Kazee). The most recent fanclub show in Sayreville featured Jon and the entire SSJ band except for the drummer - Kenny Aronoff took on that roll as he did on Jon's solo records.

This is pure speculation on my part but considering the history Jon has with SSJ I think it's quite probable.

Dave - do you have any information on "extras"?

It will be the same person who played sax in Seven Days on January 4, 1990. During that show they played Seven Days and Jon said that they'll be doing Hammersmith. Seven Days was a sneak of that show..

Could it be David??
