Italins want concerts? Well so do South Africans
I hope Italian fans get their concerts. I'm sure they will. But guys, you aren't the only fans who may miss out. Bon Jovi are one of the biggest bands in the world, and the reason is that they have/ share a fanbase the world over.
I can't stress enought the popularity of Bon Jovi in South Africa. Sure, everybody knows Johannesburg or Cape Town, but there's Durban as well, where I saw Bon Jovi perform in 1995 - there were over 40 000 of us that December night. Durban is one of the most beautiful places in the world. You show me another place in the world where it's virtually summer all year long (i'm not kidding - our coldest days are something like 21 degrees celsius!) December to March is our summer. Durban's got the widest multicultural representation in Southern Africa.
So please, spare a thought for those of us who may never get to see Bon Jovi again. It's been 7 years since anyof us saw them. Imagine how we feel when there's tour dates announced and it's the same places we see all the time. I would never begrudge any area a Bon Jovi concert, no matter how times they've played there. Just spread a little of that Bon Jovie magic. Nothing comes close to experiencing Bon Jovi live. That magic, that groove, is unmistakable. And no drug could ever give you that.
