Default Its about time fans have a say in the setlist

I think it would be an interesting idea to run a poll on bonjovi.com in relation to each leg of the tour (Australia/USA/Japan/Europe) where each country had their own vote on a couple of songs that the band will play based on votes. The songs would naturally be ones which aren't regulars, and would allow the fans to choose which of the many great songs they want to hear, that they haven't heard before or often. The band is at a place now where they shouldn't mind doing what fans want. The One Wild Night tour, reading the setlists from it, was so similar every night it was crazy. The order was the same and only 2-3 songs changed the whole tour. I think a good 4-5 new songs should be incorporated this tour (unfortunately here in Australia we will get maybe 10 songs so we aint getting anything rare). I'd include Wild is the Wind, Dry County, These Days, Hey God and Something for the Pain if I had a say on it.

Well, with all due respect, I think the title of your post is offensive. It's not about time the fans have a say in the setlist... there's no entitlement for us. Would you LIKE to have a say in the setlist? Would you LIKE it if the band asked you for your input? Would you LIKE to hear your preferred songs over the ones the band will choose (or have chosen in the past)... even if the answer is yes to all those questions, it's still not a god given right to make demands.

I suppose jovi29579 was kinda kidding you know what I mean...
He certainly means it would be great if fans could choose some songs don't you agree ? Personally, I think it's a pretty good idea :P
My choices are : 1st and foremost - Hearts breaking even, then Wild is the Wind, Hardest part is the Night and of course Dry County

Default Good idea

I rather like the idea. We could even make it interesting by throwing in some non-album songs and bonus tracks. I'd personally like to hear Neurotica and Good Guys Don't Always Wear White (it's been played, but not often.) I liked the setlist on the OWN tour, but it seems the Bounce tour may be a lot of the same stuff. After watching the Shepard's Bush concert and the NFL Kick-off, I'm kinda getting tired of Born to Be My Baby, and even You Give Love a Bad Name (mind you, both great songs, but I'm hearing them so often...) This may also help attract new fans too. I know some people who really don't fancy some of the hits, but I'm sure they'd be into some of the stuff that's often left in the background. But no matter what, I'm sure the upcoming concerts will be great. I mean, this is Bon Jovi we're talking about here. But I really do like the idea.

Different people interpret things different ways. Based on all of your previous posts, I think you are a very angry person in general, who would probably knock around your wife/girlfriend assuming you had one. You are bound to think the original posts was offensive.

I think it's a great idea. I'd love to hear Hearts Breakin Even, Wild in the Streets (Yeah, they play it, but I've only heard it live once.....), Wild is the Wind, Love for Sale...I could go on. Great post.

Megadeth has done this in their last tour. They picked about thirty something songs from all their albums and then put them up on the official website. Then they asked the fans to vote which 20 songs they wanted to hear live (this is done for every concert in USA). The 20 songs with the most votes got played. Plus the person whose 20 song selection matched the winning 20 songs won a prize - Roadie of the day!

I'm sure Bon Jovi can do a similar thing. Have 30something songs listed on the official website and have the fans choose.

Yeah no offense meant at all, I think most of you got that. As I came back in to read the replies I sorta laughed at how I titled it, because I dont really mean "it's about time". More like "It'd be nice to let the fans choose a few"
