Default It's not fair..

It's just not fair.. I mean playing in playback is not fair..
When BJ were in Poland in 2000 (for the first and the last time so far) thay played a 30-min recital (4 songs) in PLAYBACK!! Why? I wonder what are the criteria they use while deciding when to play live and when not? Is it connected with money?
I don't understand it.. they came to this country for the first time, it would have been better to show us they rock! There were plenty of laughs at this playback-tv-show after they left.. We felt somehow cheated..
I hope you guys will clear it out, maybe I'm wrong, and it doesn't depend on band..?

A lot of tvshows are playback...it`s about the public that makes too much noise...the songs aren`t heard and whatever reason they can think of. We`ve had our playbackshows over here too.....I didn`t care...the guys were there.....

Here in Italy we got "Festivalbar" every summer where italians and international artitsts go to present their new single and it's always been the typical playback music show. (it really sucks!!)
Bon Jovi was there in 2000 with Its my life and Say it isnt so and their appearance was playback too but some italian artists every year did a live performance...this makes me doubt a bit....
I think it has something to do with the money... since they don't go there free i think a live perfomance should cost more than a playback appearance.

I think it depends on the show. Some shows just can't afford live performances. Here in Spain, BJ have played live when they could play live, the rest of the TV shows have been playback (like every other artist in those shows). I think that the band prefers live performances, but they have to adapt themselves to the TV show format when they're only doing promotion. Concerts are different

Bon Jovi tend to play live a lot in TV shows and it never stops to amaze me (in the good sense! :P ). I appreciate that.

I guess BJ play live whenever they are alloed to do so...
The PLAYBACK show in Poland was indeed miserable but you can easily notice that the band feels very unconfortable while playing.
