It's now official..BJ will NOT be coming to OZ

Sorry dude, but it's people saying things like this that almost makes me wish the censoring on this board was brought back. I'm sick of it being used just for people to throw more elaborate and/or often gross insults at others.

Yes, you are right. I just edited my post so that Mr BobbyJovi's post would fit into what I said. The point was, I'm sick of that kind of thing happening it seems more and more often, it does no good for the board.

I can't see it doing any harm, they are just words. I think I understand what you mean in reference to it, such that people may visit the site for the first time and be dissuaded from posting due to it, but if they aren't mature enough to handle some words they perhaps shouldn't be on the Internet. Used in the context of an insult is different, though any insult should be treated as abuse, regardless of the 'language' used.

Isn't this official at least since the tourdates were announced, if not already when Jon said it at some interview or at Elements?

But Richie mentioned Australia twice in seperate interviews, that is EXACTLY the point. If it was so official, why would they do that? All is does is confuse everyone.

Jon did say at Elements that they wouldn't be touring Oz, but I only know because I was there and heard it for myself. Otherwise, you never know what to think.

The first time Richie mentioned it, it was well before all the stuff he is going through now had happened.

Also as most of us have said before - when we keep getting told that they are coming, or working on it (even an Aussie fan at a BJ show last year was told that by Obie O'Brien), you can understand how frustrating it has been not been given an answer.
So it looks like it's a definate no, we will cry, scream whatever, but we will get over it and for me personally I will still buy their albums as long as I enjoy the music. After being a fan for 20 years I could never give up my love for the band over one incident like this. At least the band are aware of the support from Oz and next time around will incorporate Australia into the tour plans. I really think that they were looking at coming here in April but with The Rolling Stones playing here now at that time, Jon didn't want to go up against them.
I am lucky enough to be going to see them in Japan (thanks to my wonderful hubby), but am still disappointed that they didn't make it to Oz.
