Japanese Tourdates

According to today's Daily Yomiuri, Bon Jovi will be in Japan for a Dome Tour in January or February next year. They will play the five domes: Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

The Daily Yomiuri have an English website at http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/index-e.htm, but it isn't mentioned yet.

Once again, Bon Jovi (especially Jon) aren't treating the Japanese fans with the respect they deserve. Japan just seems like a warmup venue for the band before the 'real' tour starts. Racist fcukers.

What makes you think that? Why do you think it is especially Jon and why do you think they'd consider it a 'warm up' tour???

Couldn't it be considered 'royal treatment' as they kick off their tour in Japan??

Kicking a tour off in your country is an honor, and to me it shows how much the band RESPECTS Japan, they are huge there.

All my points are explained in a thread called 'Are Bon Jovi racist?' from a few years back. Since the idiotic decision has been made to get rid of the search button, you will be searching for a while.

In the thread it mentions an interview from Jon, and he says something along the lines of 'we didn't rehearse last time. We treated the gigs in southeast asia and Japan as our rehersals' referring to the These Days tour.

Too much practice can make a show boring.
I for one would like to see a show that was
less organized. Live songs get boring if they
sound just like on the album. They might as
well lipsync then...

Then what, at least they play Japan, there so many countries they don't play. Be happy with what you get!

Too much practise could also mean a Bad Name or a Prayer played with the same vibe. Nowadays it's played slower and when you compare it to the version they played in the eighties (I'm not talking about Jon's voice now) the versions they nowadays play just lacks power. Even if they'd seriously rehearse all the old songs that are regulars in the set it might result in a better show.

But if they'd play those other countries in no way they would be rehearsals you gimp.

They've done some promotional shows that didn't include Prayer because nowadays it only works in a venue that holds enough people to sing along with it.

I don't need them either, but they're needed to activate the general crowd. Though a show that ends with Prayer would still be great.
