Maybe bc Richie's solo albums are something else/new every time while Jon has been done with experimenting for years now and with yes-man Shanks on board, you know what to expect... and it's not a compliment. Even good lyrics don't save those songs. I haven't listened to the last few albums for months, there's nothing captivating about them. Just some proper, radio-oriented songs and that's it. Burning Bridges is a little gem among them but it's so good just bc Jon didn't give a crap about it...
